Reade Griffith is a founding partner of Polygon. Reade was previously the founder and chief executive officer of the European office of Citadel Investment Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund that he joined in 1998. He was a partner and senior managing director responsible for running the Global Event-Driven arbitrage team in Tokyo, London and Chicago for the firm. Prior to that, he was with Baker, Nye, where he was an analyst working on an arbitrage and special situations portfolio. Reade holds an A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard College and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. Reade also served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and left as a Captain following the 1991 Gulf War. Reade is currently a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Harvard Law School and from 2017 until 2020 was a member of the Financial Sector Forum at the Bank of England. Reade is based in London.
Nicolas Dautigny joined Polygon in early 2003, and is a Principal and Senior Portfolio Manager for Polygon’s European Event Driven Equities strategy. He looks principally after merger and arbitrage transactions as well as positions with a significant legal, regulatory or political component and is responsible for team management. Prior to joining Polygon, he was a Vice President in the hedge fund sales team at Lehman Brothers where he had been since 1998. Nicolas started his career at Crédit Lyonnais focused on equity derivative sales. Nicolas holds a Masters in business sciences with a major in finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine, where he also earned a DESS (postgraduate) degree with a specialisation in financial markets. Nicolas is based in London.
Abhishek Agrawal joined Polygon in 2014. Prior to that, he was an analyst focused on event-driven situations at Davide Leone & Partners. He also worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager. Abhishek has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and an undergrad degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Abhishek is based in London.
Bechara Nasr joined Polygon in 2016. Prior to that, he was a Director at HSBC Principal Trading team, managing risk arbitrage and event driven investments. He also worked at Samena Capital, where he was a Senior Vice President covering equity and credit special situations in emerging markets. He started his career in 2003 in the M&A department of Lehman Brothers before moving to its Principal Investing division focusing on European Special Situations. Bechara holds a Masters in Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris and a Civil Engineering degree from E.S.I.B in Beirut. Bechara is based in London.
Dominic Lynch joined Polygon in early 2004. Prior to that he spent four years at ING Barings where he traded tax-driven OTC equity swaps within the Global Securities Finance group. He previously worked as an account manager in the Prime Brokerage group after completing a graduate training program with the bank. Dominic graduated with honours in Materials Engineering from the University of Bath. Dominic is based in London.
Zubeen Khan joined Polygon in 2014. Prior to that, he was a Pan European equity sales trader and execution trader at Green Street Advisors specialising in the listed real estate sector. He also worked at JP Morgan within their futures and options department. Zubeen holds a BSc from University of East Anglia. Zubeen is based in London.
Maureen Wainwright is the Head of Research. Maureen joined in 2003, and prior to that, she was a librarian in the department of experimental psychology at Cambridge University. Previously, she worked as a knowledge manager and information specialist at Nortel Networks. Maureen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Patrick’s College, National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and a Higher Diploma in library and information studies from University College Dublin. Maureen is based in London.
Patricia Lyon-Lowe is a senior researcher. Prior to joining the group in 2011, she was a research analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. And prior to that, she was a senior researcher, also at Bank of American Merrill Lynch. After studying Fine Arts at Staffordshire University, Patricia has spent the last 30 years in banking and finance. Patricia is responsible for supporting colleagues across the firm with their research and market data needs. Patricia is based in London.
